  TAKING THE BITE OUT OF FLOWER DELIVERIES
These are the dog days of summer, in more ways than one. As temperatures have risen, so too have the tempers of some of our canine friends.

In fact, dog bites have become a big problem for some of our drivers, particularly as they hand over a delivery through a doorway. As a result, we've taken steps to ensure the drivers' safety while continuing to provide the top-notch service that our customers know and deserve.

  • When you place an order at one of our stores or over the phone, we'll ask you whether the recipient has a pet.

  • If so, we require a phone number at which we can reach the recipient. This way, our driver will have an option to call the recipient upon arriving at the address. This courtesy call will allow the homeowner to secure any pets prior to the driver coming to the door.

  • Another option is for our driver to set the package on the recipient's porch or in another protected location. The recipient then can retrieve the package once our driver leaves.

Our only goal in taking these measures is to protect our drivers, who are the vital final link in our customer-service chain.
