FUN(D)-RAISING ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOLS
Maybe you’re a teacher or a room parent who's looking for a fun class activity, or perhaps you're
a member of a PTO or student council in search of a great fund-raiser for your school.
Children love to play with and learn about flowers, and Connells Maple Lee offers a couple of fun, free
ways to incorporate them into a school curriculum. We're pretty good at selling flowers, too, and we
love to help organizations raise money by selling flowers.
Field trips: We welcome school visits to any of our four stores in Bexley, Grove City, Pickerington
and Worthington, as well as our distribution center in Grove City. Students will learn a little bit about
Connells Maple Lee and a whole lot about what it’s like to work in a flower shop. We'll explain how
flowers get from a farm in South America to our distribution center, from a Connells Maple Lee
store to your home.
 Classroom visits: If your school can't come to us, we'll come to you. A member of the Connells
Maple Lee team will tailor a presentation for your classroom. For more information about field trips

Fund-raising: Everyone loves flowers – and selling them is a great way for parent-teacher organizations,
booster clubs, and other school organizations to raise money. We offer three sizes of mixed-flower
bouquets that organizations can sell at a profit of $1.25, $1.75, or $2.25 per bouquet.
